Three students got punished after peeing in squat toilet where only pooping is allowed by the Nanma Middle School in Wujiang, Suzhou, Jiangsu province.

A middle school in Suzhou sparked controversy after punished three boy students for peeing in stool pool of squat toilets where only pooping is allowed.

Pee in urinals and poop in the squatting style stool troughs and if you pee in the stool trough or poop in the urinals, you will get punished. This is what the Nanma Middle School in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, requires its students to comply with.

When three boys defied the school rules for their convenience and peed in stool trough of the squat toilet where only pooping was allowed, management of the Nanma Middle School got pissed off and issued a disciplinary warning to the three students, NetEase reported January 10th, 2014.

The "uncivilized behavior" of the three students violated the national code of conducts of middle school students as well as stipulations of the Nanma Middle School and caused a bad influence among other students, read the disciplinary warning.

A netizen uploaded a snapshot of the warning onto his Weibo with a comment that it was an unbelievable punishment. His comment has gained resonance among many other netizens, who questioned the justification of the disciplinary warning.

"It would be OK if the students had squatted to pee", commented on netizen.

In an interview,  Zhou Jianxin, vice principal of the school, said that the school banned students from peeing in the stool trough of the squat toilets as early as 1998 to prevent peeing from pissing the pedals or causing feces to splash on the pedals.
