Chief of Shenyang Health Bureau and female hospital director fired after online video reveals their adultery relationship
Li Chenyang, director of Shenyang Maternal and Child Care Hospital and Yan Shi, chief of Shenyang Health Bureau.
Yan Shi, chief of Shenyang Health Bureau and Li Chenyang, director of Shenyang Maternal and Child Care Hospital were both fired after video revealing their hotel date went online.
A man dating a woman frequently in hotels is usually not news, but if one or both parties are alleged to be officials, it can become big China story.
A CCTV video went online on December 26 showing a man dated a woman in a hotel for several times in Shenyang, capital city of North East China’s Liaoning province. It is understood the two committed adultery as each time they stayed in the same room for one to several hours before leaving almost together.
The video spread quickly on Chinese internet after it was alleged that the man is Yan Shi, chief of Shenyang Health Bureau and the woman is Li Chenyang, director of Shenyang Maternal and Child Care Hospital.
The two was caught on CCTV dating in a hotel.
And the allegation has been officially verified today by Shenyang discipline inspection commission. And Yan Shi was required to resign while Li Chenyang was sacked from her post and both of them are under investigation, according to Xinhua.
Sex scandals prove to be the key killers for the career of Chinese officials and this is another example we hope our civil servants should learn from.
