As we have reported, Chinese can not survive to some extent without certificates and permits issued from the government and other government sanctioned institutions!  But to not every certificate or permit is easy to get, instead, many, and especially the 20 permits and certificates, are very hard or expensive to apply for, which is also the reason why fake-certificate business is so rampant on mainland China, with advertisements sticking to or simply written on street walls, wire poles and public toilets becoming a stubborn problem in all cities.

Police in Yiling district, Yichang city, Hubei province displayed the pile of fake certificates, fake diplomas, counterfeit permits and false stamps they confiscated, July 6, 2013.

The confiscated fake certificates include death certificate, driving license, tax stamps, company seals, university diplomas, house property certificates, household registration certificate, birth permit, etc.

The similarity degree some of these fake certificates and stamps is very high, which are difficult for non-professionals to identify.
