China has long been called architects' paradise for displaying their talent and creativity. Wuxi,  a booming city in east China’s Jiangsu province, is currently building a teapot shaped building as if it is envious of the fame its provincial rival city Suzhou has gained for its "Long Johns building".

The building features an eye-catching design of a round shape with an oval-shaped hole in the center and a “pouting mouth” on middle upper side of the building’s profile. Looking from a distance, the building resembles a giant clay teapot.

Located on Juqu Road of Lihu Avenue, the teapot shaped building will be a cultural exhibition hall when completed.

In contrast to other bizarre buildings across China, like Beijing’s Bird’s Nest, Big Underpants, Giant Penis, Shanghai’s Riding Boots, this "Giant Teapot" in Wuxi appears to have gained much more favorable comments from Chinese netizens.

Netease user Porouge: This architecture is amazing, very creative and absolutely better than the "Tuhao Golden Giant Penis of People’s Daily"!

Netease user 剩味副属鸡全家死光光哈: This landmark of Wuxi is really good and representative of local characteristics.

The popular and world renown Yixing teapot is manufactured in Yixing, a city under the Wuxi jurisdiction.
