It was not a mask show, but a jewelry fashion show held in Nanjing by Shenzhen Jewelry Exhibition organizers on December 6, 2013.

Heavy smog was shrouding Shanghai, Jiangsu and other provinces in Central and East China with visibility being less than 200 meters in the entire Jiangsu province and even less than 50 meters in some areas of central and east China on Saturday. Jiangsu province shut down all express ways and the capital city Nanjing closed all schools for safety concern.

On Saturday the average PM2.5 reading in Nanjing reached off-the-charts level of 500 and above, a level that is considered as hazardous by Chinese standard, while the World Health Organization recommends a daily level of no more than 20.

To protect them from the hazardous smog, all models at this jewelry fashion show were required to wear mask. And many of the spectators also wore masks to minimize the health risk in such heavy smog.

Unlike on auto shows, these jewelry models wear not only more clothes but add a mask to their face, but you can not disagree if I say this scene is very sexy, isn't it?
