Bikini girls show up as cow model in the milking cow beauty contest held in Shanxi

The first cow beauty contest of China opened in Shanyin County of North China's Shanxi Province on August 18. A dozen and more bikini girls were hired as cow model by the organizers to promote the cow beauty contest.

August 19,2012, Taiyuan - The first cow beauty contest of China opened in Hutong Village of Gucheng Town, Shanyin County, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province on Saturday August 18.

The cow beauty contest was co-organized by Shanyin county government and Orange County of New York. A dozen and more beautiful Chinese bikini girls were hired as cow model by the organizers to promote the contest and enhance popularity of the event.

On the morning of Saturday, a cow in black and white which met the basic criteria for participating in the beauty contest and was selected from the animal farm of Gucheng Milk Corporation was led to the contest spot. According to the introduction of the contest organizer, strict criteria were stipulated for the cow beauty contest, which were divided into three major sections: First, appearance including head, neck, chest, back, abdomen, four limbs, breasts, fur, horns etc.; Second, milk output which at least reaches 9 tons per milking period; Third, ancestry, disease history record, immunization history. The contest would be evaluated through experts vote and internet poll. To ensure the contest was fair, transparent and public, county notory was asked to attend the event.

The champion of the beauty contest would be awarded with a bonus of as much as 50,000 RMB.

According to report of Shanxi Evening News, so far as many as 200 cows from 89 animal farms of Shanyin County participated in the beauty contest.

The purpose of the contest was to promote Shanyin milking cows nationwide, make more people get to know Shanyin cows, and give impetus to upgrading the animal breeding industry of Shanyin County, said an official of Shanyin County.
