63 years old Chen Fusheng is a farmer and Kung Fu master living in Beijing. Born in Beijing in 1950, Chen Fusheng started practicing Chinese Martial Arts at the age of 8. Chen Fusheng was an orphan and he was placed in a nursing home. One of the elders was a martial artist and he found potential in the young Chen and began to teach him martial arts in secret. When Chen Fusheng grew older and left the orphanage and he kept practising all kinds of Chinese Kung Fu. By the international standard, Chen is currently a level 7 martial arts practitioner. He has been teaching martial arts since 1968.
Chen Fusheng opened Beijing Fusheng International Wushu Club in Lixian Town, Daxing District of Beijing in 2008. The small town is about 60 km (37 miles) from central Beijing. The small town is a quiet and remote place very appropriate for Wushu practice. Since then, Chen's family-run martial arts school has attracted students all over the world. So far he has taught more than 100 foreign students coming from 23 countries including USA, UK, Australia, Irland, etc.
In the Beijing Fusheng International Martial Arts Club, each student is required to pay 650 USD per month to learn Ba Ji Zhan Dao (Eight Extremes Battlefield Style). The monthly tuition of $650 includes meals and accomodation. So far he has taught more than 100 foreign students coming from 23 countries including USA, UK, Australia, Irland, etc.
According to folk master Chen Fusheng, the Ba Ji Zhan Dao was invented by Chen himself combining traditional martial arts discipline and the modern day fighting skills. It has Evolved from the ancient principles of Iron Shirt Nei Gung, Iron Palm and Taoist internal and external martial styles. Ba Ji Zhan Dao is designed for use in both traditional fights and modern hand to hand combat situations, which includes knife fighting techniques, gun disarming techniques, and fighting off multiple opponents.
